Have a fulfilling and eventful 2010!
We're about 90 minutes away from the new year so I just want to wish everyone here a very eventful 2010.
By the way, don't forget to set your resolutions ... it's always useful to set some goals as they'll become your life compass ...
Take care and have fun, especially for those of us are celebrating this one way or the other.
For me, I'll be 'counting down' in my dreams ... had a long day, yawn ...

Secondary 1 Posting Result
In case you've forgotten, you'll know the secondary school which you'll be spending for the next 4 to 5 years on 22 December.
If you've keyed in a mobile number when you did your registration, you should get the text message on the morning.
Do remember to show up at the secondary at 8.30am on 23 December, in uniform (for the last time), with your report book as well as taking about $250 so that you can got most of your books and uniform.
I guess this is it, my last message to you as your Form Teacher.
You're moving on to the next phase of your life when you've expected to more mature, responsible and start thinking of your future as the subjects and course which you'll be taking will have a profound impact on your future courses, i.e. Poly or A-Level.
Take care, learn to embrace the outcome and do your best. There'll be more distractions no doubt but it'll also be full of excitement and challenges.
Remember what I always say ...
"Study hard, play hard and communciate more with your parents as they will always be your strongest ad faithful ally!"
All the best!

Collection of PSLE Certificate

One more day to go ...
All the best people and I hope you'll get your choice school.
For those who have not decided, remember the basics:
- Don't gamble away your top options by picking too many schools that are beyond your reach
- Make sure you know how to get to the schools as well as how much time you're going take to get there
- Order the school in descending order, i.e. rank them from the highest cut-off to the lowest

Final meeting - Selection of secondary school
Just want to confirm that I'll be making myself available tomorrow, i.e. Sunday, 29 November for those of us who wish to discuss with me about the choice of secondary school.
You can find me @ Potong Pasir Macdonalds from 8am to 11am (not pm so take note).
Do come with your preferred list of schools, ranked of course.
I've also learnt that there are rumours saying that I'll be giving people treat on that day ... so I just to 'squash' this incredible gossip by stating I SHOULD be the one getting treats ...
So those who think can pull a fast one on me ... riiiiight ...

My thoughts about your result ...
To begin, I didn't expect the whole thing to end so soon. I saw many expressions today ... some joy, some disappointment and the rest, more relief.
How are all of you feeing?
Counting down ... PSLE results!
I'm sure all of you must be nervous and so am I.
I've been praying for the best and will continue to do so, though I'm aware your results have already been computed some time ago.
I'll be my last time addressing and meeting all of you (or at least, most of you) as your form teacher so it'll be a mixture of anxiety as well as reluctance.
Anyway ... let's hope for the best and remember:
- If you done well, keep it up!
- If you didn't do as well as you've hoped, it's not the end ... this result doesn't seal your fate; you still have a long way ahead of you and it's still up to you, to change it!
Cheers!

This Thursday - Release of PSLE results ...
I guess you must have heard it by now. The results will be out this Thursday at noon.
Just remember to show up in school uniform but if you'd like to don the class t-shirt, it's fine too ...
Let's hope for the best!

Cedar Celebrates Carnival!

- The hip-hoppers! Fantastic job! You kids are getting better with every performance. I even have parents ask me whether we have this as a CCA cos their kids love it! Well done!
- The 'nobody nobody' group. I know only Kym is from our class. Help to congratulate the rest of the girls (not forgetting the 2 boys too!). It was a lively performance!
- Not forgetting the balloon sculptors ... I learnt that all of you were so busy that you hardly have time to eat! I know for a fact that before this event, none of you actually knows how to do it but now, I'm sure you will be able to show off your skills!
- Last but not the least, the boys who manned the game stalls ... for me I feel bad that I didn't get the chance to really visit your station ... I know it's a roaring success cos I heard that you ran out of candies really early!
I hope I didn't miss out anyone ...
Anyway, I hope all of you had fun and enjoyed the food (you all got more than what you're supposed to get) and more importantly the company!
I'll be working for the next few days on what I should include in the CD which I'll be giving you on 26 November ...
Ah yes, the class t-shirt! Did you observe that we're the only class wearing that today and it was so easy for me to locate you guys when I need to hand you the food!
Though the design and printing are not perfect, I hope it'll become an artefact which will invoke fond memories whenever you see or wear them ...
Till we meet again!

Winding down P6-3 ...
I just want to share that during the Cedar Learning Carnival, as I was showing the 2 videos to the visiting P5 and P6 pupils, I got me thinking ...
2009 ... it just zipped pass ... literally! I can still remember roughly what I said to the class on the first day of this year ... reassuring all of you and things like that.
Also, it wasn't too long ago when I was still putting everyone through all the revision worksheets, exam papers, reminding as well as scolding some that we really need to persevere and buck up. I could still remember hearing all the groaning whenever I talk about Math and the laughters when we coin ESAD ...
Feeling emotional? Maybe ...
Feel like crying? Maybe not ... but just to share that even though I've taught and sent off 7 graduating classes (including all of you), there's always that sense of loss ... it's like a piece of you been cut off ... it'll be painful for a while but eventually we'll get over it ...
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I enjoyed having you guys as companions journey through 2009. Though I may not know each one of you as well as the other form teachers, I wished I had more time talking to you guys (rather listening to me most/all the time) and getting to know each one of you as a person cos you kids are interesting, yes each one of you.
I guess it's time to grow up (including myself) and learn to embrace the 'coming unknown'. For you it's your PSLE results and the secondary school which you'll be heading and as for me, new kids and this time, I got 2 classes-worth of English and no more Maths (Noooooooooo) and Science, plus not forgetting 80 new faces ...
They're coming soon, really soon ...
Are we ready?

Final homework ...
This will be one of my last few entries as your form teacher.
Please send me your reflections as mentioned in class as well as a picture which is find meaningful(with caption) to me at adamgoi@starhub.net.sg so that I can publish and display them with pride during the Learning Carnival ...
Please do that ASAP, okay?
Thanks ...
Please ignore the posts starting from ...
In plain and simple language, they are not authored by me ...

Work in progress ... Class T-shirt!
As of now I can confirm the T-shirt will be ready in about 2 weeks' time; it'll be ready before the last day of school ...
I'll be paying a visit to the T-Shirt maker tomorrow to confirm the T-shirt sizes and hopefully after that I'll be able to give more details. As of now, each T-shirt costs slightly more than $14 but I'll let know how much you'll need to pay in due time ...
Don't forget about the excursion to Bartley Secondary tomorrow and take the necessary items with you, i.e. calculator and some writing materials.
See ya!

PSLE's over!
Well done people, for what it's worth. Time, effort, anxiety, sweat, sacrifices and such ... enjoy the break people and for those of us who are going to KL, that's something we can look forward to!

Next stop, Science paper!
I wish to drop by and encourage all of us to hang in there ... remember all the points Mr Zaki and I mentioned ... for 3 part formula which will help you to be more prepared for the paper.
You're getting really close to the finishing line! Hang in there and all the best!

Keep moving forward!
By right you should not have the time to read this ...
Didn't get to address this today so here goes ...
Irregardless how you feel about the Math papers today, here are a few facts that you have to accept:
- What is done cannot be undone ... worrying will not change anything, right?
- Tell yourself that you've done your best (I'm sure of it)
- The battle may be over but not the 'war', you still got MT (for most of us) and Science papers to work on ...
So please concentrate, okay?
I'll see you either on Friday (1pm to 4pm) or Saturday (8.30am to 11.30am) for the final supplementary lesson; we'll talk then.
All the best to those of us who are taking MT paper tomorrow!
Wednesday, October 7, 2009
This is it ... PSLE has arrived!
All the work and effort put and sacrifices made ... come down to this.
All the best people! Make us (yourself too) proud!

Counting down to PSLE ...
We're 64 days away and I know the goings are getting tougher ...
Hang in there people and I know it's very easy for me to say.
You're tired and so am I; no one is getting it any easier.
Let's do our best, in finding out our weaknesses, adjust our habits (especially when we know things are not working) revising our work, spend less time on pleasure (though it's always tempting to spend another minute on games, TV or the net) and make this PSLE ... your finest and me, one of my finest!
All the best! (And don't expect me to say good luck cos I don't believe in that!)

Phone calls and exercising social responsibility ...
Anyway you'll be receiving the letter by post latest by Friday or Saturday as long as our postal system can cope with the spike in the volume of mails.
For now, do remember that you can still play a huge role in our fight against Influenza A (H1N1-2009) by exercising social responsibility - if you've returned from affected areas (do check out www.moh.gov.sg for the latest list), do let me know. I hate to say this but I guess by now most of you probably got my house number and I'd appreciate that you don't call me over trivial issues.
Back to the issue of social responsibility, if you're feeling unwell, PLEASE go and see a doctor and follow the advice of the doctor by resting at home until your medical leave expires.
So do look after yourself, ensure you've finished your assignments, work on your weak areas and don't forget to have some time to play and relax.
Counting down to 29 June!
Monday, June 22, 2009
Oh, how heartless! How have you been?
For me, my hols have officially ended beginning with today. My only consolation is at least I don't have to report to school for 5 weekdays during the mid-year break ... so I guess no one here should grumble your hols are shorter than mine! (Yes I know i'm showing off!)
For me, 5 days are still better than none.
Enough of that, what have you been up to and how ready are you for Term 3?
Let's hear it ... don't be shy!
We're one week away from Term 3!
If I'm not wrong, some of us (even your parents) are wondering how the current state of Influenza A (H1N1-2009) infections is going to affect us.
I just want to assure all that we are ready to face any challenges, especially given the experience we have had during the SARS pandemic in 2003 ... so let's not worry too much; we'll do our utmost to keep all of you safe and at the same time ensure your learning will not be compromised.
For now, the same message remains ... look after yourself; eat (don't forget the vegetables and fruit) and sleep well, observe good hygiene practices such as the thorough washing of hands and keep your hands off your face as they (the hands, of course) are dirtier than we think they are, see a doctor when you're ill, especially if you've just returned from one of those affected countries (check out www.moh.gov.sg), seek out your parents immediately; they ought to know what to do!
As for your revision and preparation for PSLE, I still urge you to carry on as H1N1 (I'm referring to the situation of course) or not, you'll still have to sit for PSLE right?
Should you have any queries, do post them here and at the meantime, tune in to the news as often as possible to get the latest updates. We're also doing the same here.
Looking forward to see all of you on next Monday, take care!

Dumplings galore!
Yummy! It's something which I always look forward during this time of the year. I think my mom made close to 5 dozens of them in one morning. I must add that it's quite a feat for a 69 years-old lady.

The Climb ...
The results are out; guess some of us are pretty pleased, a number of us are disappointed while the rest of us are having mixed feelings ...
Just wanna remind all of us that the journey which we embark is a long, winding one. Some times things will go our way but many a times, there are many events and incidents (other than tests and exams) which turned out not what we've hoped for ...
So here's a song which I recently came across ... I love it and find the lyrics particularly meangingful and hope it'll spur you to continue to persevere and continue with 'the climbs' of your life ...
Miley Cyrus - The Climb
I can almost see it
That dream I’m dreaming but
There’s a voice inside my head sayin,
You’ll never reach it,
Every step I’m taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking
but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high
There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
The struggles I’m facing,
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I’m not breaking
The pain I’m knowing
But these are the moments that
I’m going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It’s all about
It’s all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

SA1 is here and the complete lowdown of the 5 love languages (by Gary Chapman) ...
- Do ensure you do your revision, i.e. go through your work and amke sure you understand why you got them wrong and to a lesser extent why you got them right.
- Don't burn midnight oil (I know quite a number of you have been very diligent) and ensure you have a good night rest as nothing beats a well-rested and alert mind.
- Don't be stubborn; skip questions which you think they are tough and only re-visit them once you have ploughed through the paper.
- Don't spend your free time playing with correction tapes (I know they are very tempting) and doing unproductive things such as starting a inter-galatic war with your stationary but to check your work. You may regain some of the potentially 'lost' points.
Next are the 5 love languages which I've spoke about.
They are:
- Words - Examples making positive comments such as "Great job!", "I appreciate your efforts!" and "I like the way you handle it!"
- Time - It's like spending and giving time to your friends and loved ones, when they need it the most and especially when you're super busy!
- Gifts - PRESENTS! Need I say more?
- Service - Doing things and favours for friends before they cry for help, i.e. collecting their homework when they're absent, carrying things for your friends and loved ones when you observe they are having difficulties ...
- Physical touch - No ... it's not the 'dirty' things which some of you are thinking ... aiyo, kids nowadays, sigh ... Anyway, it's like giving a hug to show appreciation, a pat on the shoulder for a job well done and such. Do note that many misunderstanding can result so think carefully before you do it ... in fact, better to consult adults ...
Do remember everyone has a 'receiving' and 'giving' mode and they may be the same or can be very different.
Since Mother's Day is coming, why not you try to practise this on your mom? Try to find out what's her preferred 'receiving' mode and give her a surprise (make sure it's a PLEASANT one) which is unforgettable and memorable for her?

Reminder - Bring a thermometer daily!
Do remind one another that beginning on Monday, you ought to have a thermometer with you whenever you go to school.
Don't forget to observe good personal hygiene such as washing of hands before taking food and exercise social responsibility such as seeking medical help when you're unwell and only return to school after you have recovered.
I know exams are coming but health is always more important, okay?
Stay well people and I'll see you on Monday!

It's cake-baking time!
I promised that this posting will make everyone laugh ... or at least amused.
So here I am, baking my cake. What you see above are the ingredients. No joke, I do bake my cakes and I meant the 'edible' ones (I know what some of you are thinking).
Anyway, it'll be a while longer before it's ready and I'll be cutting them into bite sizes and they'll become my breakfast and even snacks over the May Day long weekend. Though I'm quite tempted to take them to school and 'feed' all of you, I just realised it's not been certified Halal and if all of you can still remember my stand ... if I can't get food which the whole class can enjoy, I rather 'sacrifice' and finish all of it.
You may wonder how it tastes ... if you love butter, you'll LOVE it cos it's a butter cake ... speaking of which I can even smell it from where I am as it's being baked. It's super yummy especially when it's chilled and I can recall when I baked two large ones and shared them with the kids at a Before After School Care, i.e. BASC Centre when I was still an undergrad, the kids then really really love it!
So too bad lah, you kids won't have the chance to partake AG's very own butter cake ... unless I get to bake it in a Halal kitchen cos the ingredients which I use do not contain lard ...
Hey, I hear the sweet chime of my oven ... I guess it's ready; sigh, too bad I have no one else to share it with ... muahahaha ...

Greetings from Korea!

Saturday, March 14, 2009
It's the holidays!
Anyway I'm just moments away from leaving home and to head to T3 to meet up with the Cedar - South Korea Team ... it's going to be cold there.
Anyway, just wanna remind all of you that:
- What else? Homework! Do remember to distribute your time so that you won't end up trying to complete your work on Sunday evening ... it's not going to work and besides, you'll miss the whole point of giving you the homework. Huh? What talking you Mr Goi? Calm down people ... just know that I've actually put some thoughts into the homework that is given to you ... the English one is to get all of you to practise all the tricks I've been teaching you on how to tackle the English paper, part by part. as for Maths, the questions will give you the chance to practise all the topics which we've learnt so far, from Alegbra to fractions and last but not the least, the 30 Science MCQs will allow you to revise the first 4 topics which we've covered so far, from Classifications to Energy.
- All work and no play makes Jane a dull gal! Play! But don't spend all the time watching TV and play lah ... as mentioned earlier, distribute your time between work and play!
- Last but not the least, all of you take care and I still hope I can bring something nice back for all of you ... no chopsticks and spoons right?
See you soon ... should things go well, I ought to be back on the 22nd ... urgh and then in less than 18 hours, I'll have to make my way to school ... I guess that holidays to me.
Cheerio!

Round 2 Topical tests - response?
I just want to sum up what I've mentioned about the tests since yesterday ...
English - Never underestimate what grammar errors can do to your marks; please be more cautious when youread the questions and do check your answers when you are done with it ... extra efforts may just have you to get more - remember the 'half mark', imaginery example which I've shared with you today.
Maths - Working is the key, especially for problem sums ... there's no point thinking of what answer to write; instead think in terms of how many steps of working can you contribute to the questions ...
Science - It's great to clear up misconceptions (such as energy is needed even to grow mundane things like finger nails!). The bottomline is we need to read more and have more exposures ... use the E-portal and read other sources on Science; don't restrict yourself to the textbook ... it's never enough!
Finally, let's be kind to one another ... we're civilised, aren't we? I'm sure we can use many, more appropriate words and terms when we are somewhat upset right?
Example:
Instead of screaming "Get lost", you can always say "Erm ... I need some space here ..."
See? It isn't that hard, right?

Leadership roles ... appreciating them
Class Leaders: Asri and Celine
First of all, don't make fun of them. In fact, they'll have challenging tasks ahead of them which I feel that in time, they mold them into better leaders. Both of you have effectively become my left and right hand people though both of you have to decide who's my right and left ... haha ...
By the people, please co-operate and support them; they'll need them!
Attendance leaders: Amandy and Hakeem
In times of emergency, I'll count on you to report to the teacher-in-charge the attendance situation of the class; you may be the most important people then as you will be the ones who will be among the first to know your classmates who have gone 'missing' and your prompt report will also result in thier return and safety!
Group Leaders: Fave and Kumar, Emily and Gandhiban, Jun Wei and Ashwini, Amandy and Chee Hong
You'll be my eyes and ears to ensure your classmates hand in their work promptly; for the rest of us, do appreciate the fact that they usually have to collect and distribute books and worksheets while we remain comfortably in our seats ... sometimes we just need to cut them some slacks okay?
Key Master: Cheng Sin and supported by Melody(?)
Except for some initial hiccups, I think Cheng Sin is doing a decent job ... do you know she's usually the last to leave to ensure the room is locked, first to be back so that the door is opened for all of us and even panic when the keys go missing?
Student Councillors: Kym, Huiting, Hongyi, Mallika, Supan and Junaitha
It's only until I work on this post then I realised I have so many of them. I'm sure you've been selected for good reasons ... please don't feel left out if I don't call on any of you to take on any class responsibilities; it's just that I hope to develop your classmates' leadership qualities just as the 6 of you are being developed now ...
NE Ambassadors: Gandhiban and Junwei
Both of you will be in the forefront in leading the class and even the school in the area of National Education ... I hope it'll be an enriching for you as you're being developed and also helping your peers to learn and integrate NE in our words and deeds.
So how about the rest? Rest assured, I'll try my best to find interesting tasks for you because afterall, P6-3 is everybody's business (no longer MYOB) so that each one of us will have an important role to play and at the end of the day, you'll realise that everyone counts!
Till next time!

Class picture-taking and tests
So how's the Maths test? Let's hear from you and don't forget about the Science test tomorrow ... all the best!
Tuesday, March 3, 2009
Topical tests - Round 2
Tomorrow begins your next round of EMS tests ... hope you kids are geared for this. I guess as long as you have taken your work seriously all these while, you'll be just fine.
Anyway, weather's getting wet nowadays ... seems like the heaven is now repaying us for the absence of the usual monsoon season which we're supposed to enjoy in November and Decmber last year. Do bring an umbrella with you as you head out or to school; it may just come handy.
All the best people and hope to celebrate with you the fruit of hard work. To me, every outcome, as long as it is the result of sheer determination and perseverance is worth celebrating.
What are you waiting for?

Poor start for the year ...
Sorry that I didn't show up today; hurt my back (by not doing anything strenuous) over the weekend. As such, I experience pain from changing postures, i.e. standing to sitting and vice versa, so I'll look totally ridiculous and helpless should I go to school.
I was given 2 days of sick leave but I'll be back tomorrow for Remedial class, at least since I could not cancel the class. So those of you who are reading this, please help me to send word around.
Sorry people ... that because of my health, all of you have to miss another days worth of lesson (for some strange reason, I seem to hear some 'cheering' in the background ...
It's a poor start in the year of the Ox for me ... can't be as strong as it's supposed to be but may I borrow what Terminator likes to say at the end of the movie ... I'll be back ... soon!
Till then, take care ...

I hate my userid ...
Yeah, riiiight. Why must they make us use our NRIC number as our userid? With that, it's so easy to tell how old we are! Now the kids know (I'm they can subtract competently). I guess the next challenge is to keep my mobile number confidential ... let's just hope my ex-students don't any oh how give it away ...
Sigh ... or should I say 'Mooooo' ...

Meet the Parents session - My Feedback
It was a successful and fruitful session for me. I get to meet up with the parents of 20 of my pupils (yes I do keep track). The atmosphere was very positive and my two main objectives were met.
They were:
- By getting myself acquainted (I LIKE this word very much) with the parents, it give me the chance to introduce myself to them, to reassure them that I have the necessary experience to a whip a P6 class into shape
- Getting to know you guys better cos after all, I only know all of you for about 6 weeks ...
Please help me to thank your parents and I'll be speaking to all of you again on Monday on what I've learnt from the meeting which I deem useful for all of you.
For those of us who parents did not turn up on Saturday, fret not! There will be another session after you SA1, however should your parents want to get in touch with me, there's always the school number, my e-mail as well as the pupil's handbook.
By the way, I had a pleasant afternoon after the session. I paid Miss Tan a visit and l had a great time catching up with her. Missed the days when she's still teaching in Cedar Primary and when we're still at our old site when we still had our Block A and B ...
Last but not the least, another feel which I got out of the session was the trust and confidence in me which I value greatly ... so here's the big question which I need everyone to answer ...
I'm going to do my best in terms of time and effort ... are you prepared to do the same and make 2009 your finest year ever? Before you answer, pause and think - say what you mean and mean what you say!

About school-based tests and exams ...
In case any of us have forgotten the messages which I've been driving at after I've released your 1st tests results, let me re-iterate here.
- For those of us who have done well, stay humble and alert; your challenge now is to remain consistent - which means you need to keep up your efforts in maintaining the results.
- For those who did not do as well as you've hoped; there's always a next time. It's better to make those mistakes now than in PSLE.
- Last but not the least, I hope you've learnt from some of the mistakes which you've made in the test. I did not use the word 'all' because my belief is, if we can learn from all of mistakes, then we've be perfect the next time. Perfection? That's a tough ideal to pursue ...
- Finally, continue to do your work seriously (meaning do your best to try) and revise regularly ... it'll help!
- All the best people ... until the next one!
Meet the parents session - 7 February 2009
Here are more details about the session which is set to take place on Saturday.
- I'll station myself at the open space classroom found the ground floor; look for the tall guy in case your parents have never met or seen me before.
- I'll be making myself available as early as 7.30am.
- Each parent(s) will be given a queue number; it'll be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Upon receiving the queue number, please let your parents know that should they expect a long wait, they're encouraged to meet your MT teachers (do let them know who your MT teachers are!)
- Each parent(s) will be given a maximum of 5 minutes; the reason being I'm expecting to have 20+ parents who want to speak with me and by 9.15am (the latest), I have to pause any form of dialogue and invite all parents to head to the school hall for the important briefing on PSLE-related matters. This I sought your co-operation (kids, if you're reading this, please help me to relay this to your parents)
- However, should there be any parents whom I've yet to meet or wish to have further conversations, I'm still available until 12.30pm ... that is provided such parents have no plans to attend the workshop which is set to occur after the reception (yes, there's food!)
- Finally I look forward to a fruitful, positive and constructive session with your parents and guardians.
- Any comments or questions?

1st online assigment!
I'm composing this entry as all of you are busy 'accepting' my invitation to visit K.L.
Hope all of you have fun and that you'll find the experience of writing an 'real' email to a real person more meaningful as compared to the usual pen and paper activity in class.
Let's see how many of you can complete the task today ... will look forward to reading and grading them!

Happy CNY people!
CNY is upon us. For those of us who celebrate the occasion, I wish you bountiful Ang Pow collection and enjoy all the festive goodies! Especially those who think we're under-weight, eat more while those of us who aren't, erm ... eat wisely okay? As for those of us who do not celebrate, do enjoy the break ... it'll may be rather inconvenient for you given that many of your shops and stalls may be closed during this festive season.
By the way, don't forget about your homework and your coming class tests ... it'll be a wonderful opportunity for me to find out what are your strengths (so that we can celebrate) and your weaknesses (so that we can work on).
Finally, 新年快乐 (which means Happy Chinese New Year) to all!

The break's over! Let's get cracking!
This will be the class blog of P6-3 (Class of 2009)!
Do check back often for news updates (it's not as if I don't do a lot of that in class).
There's only one rule here and that is to respect one another's comments and all unpleasantries will be ruthlessly deleted without warning ...
Other than that, let's enjoy ourselves here!
